A strong cold front is sweeping through the Mid-Atlantic this evening, bringing a line of rain and a drop in temperatures. Stormy weather will move through central Maryland the eastern shore before midnight.
Showers and storms are moving through central Maryland
A line of rain and embedded thunderstorms is moving quickly eastward ahead of a strong cold front. The line of heavier rain is moving into the Baltimore metro. The heaviest rain is expected to fall in Baltimore County between 10:30 and 11:30. However, heavy rain will general last for less than 30 minutes at any particular spot. Flooding is not a major concern. We need the rain. Brief heavy rain will accompany this line of storms. Winds could gust up to 60 MPH in a few spots.
