Paisley’s free Halloween festival is to return next weekend — with tens of thousands expected to attend.

Organisers of the Paisley town centre event promise a packed programme on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25.

The Halloween parade once again forms the centrepiece of the festival on both nights, with more than 300 professional performers and local community groups taking part. This year’s parade is inspired by children’s book and movie characters, so be on the look out for Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and many more of your favourite literary characters.

The parade will make its way through the town at 7pm each night and will once again take in Mill Street, offering plenty of great viewing places to watch and enjoy the spectacle. As well as the parade there will be live
