A Birmingham dad has spent a small fortune transforming his driveway into a Halloween spectacle - but admits his own children think he's "mental" for doing it.

Dad-of-four Darren Mackenzie spent £3,500 on huge Halloween decorations which have been on display at his home in Hob Moor Road, Yardley , since early October.

The 55-year-old decided to "give Halloween a go" for the first time after his Christmas display proved to be a huge hit last year.

Darren said children, parents and even police officers had stopped to take pictures with the spooky animatronics. But he admitted there was one person who won't be joining in the fun - his daughter.
