HANNIBAL — Hannibal Pirates boys soccer have had a tough time generating wins this season in the middle of tough last seven games and were looking for their first win since defeating Canton back on Sep. 29 with a senior night matchup against Mexico.
Thursday ended up being all Hannibal as they celebrated their five seniors with a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs.
"The guys played well, two of our five seniors had the goals tonight," said Hannibal head coach Eric Hill. "(Chase) Askey ended up with a hat trick, Pearson (Parker) got us on the board with the first two.”
A big issue early on in the season was lack of experience, chemistry and ball movement with this team but Thursday’s win showed how far they’ve come this year.
