UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

One person has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, on Saturday night.

Westmoreland County dispatchers first told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that crews were called to the intersection of Route 30 and Wimmerton Boulevard around 6 p.m. following reports of a crash. Advertisement

According to our news partners at the Trib , Brandon Shea, 43, of Mt. Pleasant, died as a result of the crash.

The Westmoreland County coroner told the Trib that Shea’s motorcycle was hit by a Toyota Camry while the car was making a left turn onto U.S. 30 from Wimmerton Boulevard.

Shea was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to the hospital, where he later die
