It was peak fall color viewing across much of central Minnesota this weekend.
The latest reports from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources show fall colors at or near peak from Maplewood and Lake Carlos state parks in west central Minnesota eastward to the Brainerd Lakes region, Duluth and the St. Croix River Valley.
While most of northern Minnesota is now listed as past peak, there still are large areas with many colorful autumn leaves remaining, including Itasca State Park and parts of the Iron Range.
