Adelaide, Oct 19: India captain Shubman Gill expressed disappointment after his team lost the first ODI against Australia by seven wickets in a rain-shortened encounter, ending India’s eight-match winning streak in 2025.
India’s innings suffered early blows as three crucial wickets, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, fell during the powerplay, leaving the team struggling at 25/3 in the ninth over. Gill noted, “Never easy, when you lose three wickets in the powerplay, you're always trying to play catch up.
