The Naga Tribe Hohos (NTHs) and the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) on Saturday declared that the formation of new Naga political factions will not be accepted, reaffirming their collective stand against fragmentation and asserting that no forum or organisation can supersede the authority of tribe hohos.

The declaration was adopted during a joint meeting of the NTHs and FNR held at Hotel Japfu, Kohima, following sixteen earlier meetings held between January 14 and September 27, 2025, involving Naga Political Groups (NPGs), the FNR, and the NTHs.

In a statement issued after the meeting, the groups said the gathering was held “in the spirit of sacred trust and communal responsibility,” reaffirming the shared commitment to the historical and political rights of the Naga people.
