The New England Patriots sit atop the AFC East standings going into Week 7 . They’ve had plenty of momentum on their side since a stunning Week 5 defeat over the Buffalo Bills.

There’s still a lot of football left to be played, but Julian Edelman seems confident in his former team.

“There’s a team that’s trending up, and there’s a team that’s trending down,” Edelman said on FOX on Sunday . “The team that’s trending down is the Buffalo Bills. I’m hitting that panic button right now.

“The Patriots, on the other hand, they just continue to get better and better,” he later added . “Drake Maye’s playing really good, sound football. He’s not turning the ball over. They got a running game going, and (coach Mike) Vrabel’s got that defense firing on all cylinders.”
