Jeffery Simmons is stuck on the Titans sideline.

The standout defensive tackle injured his hamstring in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Patriots , and the Titans say he’s questionable to return. One of the NFL’s best defensive linemen, Simmons is a significant loss for a Titans team hoping to pull off an upset.

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel spent five seasons coaching Simmons in Tennessee and raved about him early this week.

“He’s playing really well, playing at a high level,” Vrabel said. “He plays hard. He’s got great play demeanor.
