Ohio State maintained its top ranking after improving to 7-0 on Saturday. The Buckeyes played at Wisconsin , taking down the Badgers, 34-0, to remain unbeaten heading into their second bye week.
Ohio State entered the season as the third-ranked team. However, after beating Texas in Week 1, OSU moved into the top spot.
Coach Ryan Day’s team has held that ranking since, marking the longest stretch of consecutive weeks (8) at No. 1 for the Buckeyes since 2015.
Indiana moved up to No. 2 in the poll after sitting one spot lower last week. IU defeated Michigan State, 38-13, while Miami — previously the second-ranked team — lost against Louisville.
