MADISON − Marathon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Abbie Schroeder has been named the 2025 First Responder of the Year for the 86th Assembly District.

Rep. John Spiros (R-Marshfield) announced the award on Oct. 14, according to a community announcement.

Schroeder, a Rudolph native, has more than 10 years of experience in investigations, patrol and community engagement. She currently serves as a deputy and district attorney investigator with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office.

Schroeder recognized for collaboration efforts

Schroeder has led several projects to enhance collaboration between law enforcement and prosecutors. She also developed an improved domestic violence packet, providing law enforcement countywide with crucial safety tools for high-risk victims.
