LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Indiana Hoosiers continue to climb the AP top 25 poll, now sitting at the No. 2 spot.
After defeating the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, the Hoosiers traveled back to Bloomington to take on Michigan State in The Battle for the Old Brass Spittoon. Indiana won the rivalry game last season by a score of 47-10, and wanted to keep the trophy in Bloomington.
The Spartans struck first with a field goal, and jumped out to a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter. Heisman candidate Fernando Mendoza then put on a show, throwing for over 330 yards and 4 touchdowns, while completing 24-28 passes as the Hoosiers defeated the Spartans 28-13.
