Jesús Montero has sadly died.

The former MLB player, who played for both the Seattle Mariners and the New York Yankees, passed away at the age of 35.

His death was caused by injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago, per the Seattle Times .

“The Yankees are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jesús Montero . We send our sincerest condolences to his family & loved ones,” the Yankees wrote on social media.

Jesús was reportedly riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a pickup truck, per Venezuelan media.
