At 1:43 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement valid for Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"A high risk of sneaker waves," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The highest breaking waves are expected Sunday evening. Conditions may be just shy of high surf advisory levels as surf builds to another peak late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening."
"Large breaking waves will create hazardous conditions along and within the surf zone, and could inundate beaches and low-lying shorelines.
