The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers weren’t very respectful after beating Appalachian State on Saturday.

The teams faced off to the tune of a 45-37 win, which ended in tempers flaring, given that there’s no love lost between these Sun Belt teams, who have built a rivalry in just 12 games.

Appalachian fans notably threw beer cans at CCU players the last time they played.

“They don’t like us. We don’t like them,” head coach Tim Beck said earlier in the week.

CCU got the last laugh again this weekend, coming back from a two-touchdown deficit in the second half to win their fourth consecutive game against the Mountaineers, outscoring them 21-3 in the final 15 minutes.
