SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane was recently ranked in the top three for worst drivers in the state of Washington.

The list was compiled by LendingTree, which analyzed tens of thousands of car crashes, insurance inquiries, DUIs and speeding citations across Washington’s 25 biggest cities in 2024.

Spokane was ranked only behind Olympia and Kirkland for worst drivers, with a reported 31.7 incidents per 1,000 drivers. Olympia and Kirkland reported 34.1 and 33.1, respectively.

Seattle was ranked first for best drivers, with just 21.5 incidents per 1,000 drivers. Second place was a tie between Shoreline and Renton with an incident rate of 22.3.

Generation Z were ranked as the worst drivers, with the list descending in order of age. Millennials came in second-worst, followed by Generation X, Baby
