Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to reports of heavy smoke pouring from Kona Kids Dentistry, on Southwest Durham Road in Tigard, around 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Steady winds helped blow fire through the building and several windows failed in the heat, public information officer Lt. Marcus Koss said.

Crews managed to bring the fire under control, but the structure was heavily damaged by smoke and fire. Investigators were still on scene early Sunday afternoon trying to determine what had sparked the blaze.
