NEW ORLEANS —
Thousands of people protested at the "No Kings 2.0" Rally in New Orleans.
Many held signs with messages and chanted, hoping to make their voices heard.
"We’re here lifting our voices that the Constitution should be paramount, not king," said Alanah Odoms. Advertisement
Protestors say they were rallying to push back against recent moves by the Trump administration, including the President's immigration crackdown in several major cities and plans to send federal troops to Louisiana.
"I myself am an Army veteran, and I would never believe that responsibilities are to police the American people; my responsibility is to protect the American people," said Gideon Vicini.
The rally in New Orleans was just one of 10 hosted across the state on Saturday.
