STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island residents should prepare for a wet and windy Sunday night as showers are expected to move through the area, with thunderstorms possible after 2 a.m., according to the National Weather Service .
The agency forecast a 100% chance of precipitation tonight, with rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch expected. South winds will reach 13 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph, and temperatures will drop to around 57 degrees.
