SALT LAKE CITY — Following a 2-2 draw on decision day, Real Salt Lake punched its ticket into the postseason and will face Portland in the Wild Card on Wednesday.

It makes five straight postseason appearances for RSL, which is the most in the MLS.

Real Salt Lake Looks To Stay Alive In Portland

Real finished the season ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 12-17-5. Portland, in eighth, is 11-12-11.

The winner of the match at Providence Park will advance to take on the West’s top team: San Diego FC.

Luckily for RSL, facing Portland in the win-or-go-home match is a solid draw. In two games against the Thorns this season, they walked away with one win and one draw.
