A Wyandotte woman said she used artificial intelligence technology to pick a set of Powerball numbers — and the tool spit out a winning set.
Tammy Carvey, 45, matched four white balls and the Powerball in the Sept. 6 Powerball drawing and won a $50,000 prize using ChatGPT; her winnings doubled to $100,000 through the Power Play.
“I only play Powerball when the jackpot gets up there and the jackpot was over $1 billion so I bought a ticket,” Carvey said in a press release. “I asked ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers and those are the numbers I played on my ticket. ... My husband and I were in total disbelief.”
ChatGPT was developed by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence and deployment company, according to its website.
