The NFL has played numerous international games in the last decade, expanding the sport to new markets and potential revenue streams. Now Saudi Arabia is expressing interest in hosting a game, and the oil-rich kingdom has the financial resources to make it happen.
According to Bloomberg’s David Hellier , Saudi Arabian Prince Turki Alalshikh spoke at the Joy Forum conference in the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riyadh on Thursday, expressing his desire to see the country host at least one game in the future.
“Britain got it and Brazil got it,” Alalshikh said. “Hopefully, Saudi Arabia will be next.”
