LONG BEACH, Miss. (WLOX) - Equal Steps Veterans Home Executive Director Velma Nakole Predium-Morris is in jail after she was arrested Friday.
She was booked on a felony bad check charge, and WLOX is told court documents filed in Harrison County show multiple judgments from many companies against Predium-Morris, totaling more than $164,000.
However, we’re unsure what specific incident led to her arrest on Friday.
While she was in jail, her daughter stepped in, worried about the veterans inside the home, and tried to help them find a place to go.
She initially told WLOX News that all residents had to be out by Monday.
