TAMPA - Thousands of protestors gathered in Tampa Bay on Saturday for a "No Kings Day" Protest.
Some cities that held protests included Tampa, St. Pete, Largo, Tyrone, Gulfport and Clearwater.
The primary objective of the protest was to highlight what national organizers call the "authoritarian leanings" of the Trump Administration.
What they're saying:
"I'm here today to support and defend the constitution and the oath that I took as a military police officer in the US Army," said Christina Juarez, a veteran against Trump.
There were thousands of people at the protest. They assembled on Kennedy Boulevard and then marched through downtown. It was a peaceful demonstration.
People also addressed additional grievances regarding the current state of the country.
