Mama rat Blaze, who is around a year old, and her two little three-month old babies, Meena and Mendee, came from a hoarding situation and were rescued by the BC SPCA Victoria branch along with dozens of other rats.

The little family is the first time we’ve had domestic rats on Pet CHEK and as Tess van Straaten shows us, they can make great pets.
