WASHINGTON COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - A driver was hospitalized after crashing down an 80-foot embankment in rural Washington County on Sunday afternoon, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
At about 4 p.m., crews rushed to the scene along Northeast Sunnycrest Road west of Newberg, where they found a pickup truck crashed on its side at the bottom of a ravine.
TVF&R’s rope rescue team worked to reach and rescue the person inside. Once free from the truck, the driver was rushed to the hospital by Life Flight with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by law enforcement, firefighters said.
