Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its fourth list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, bringing the total number of announced candidates to 132. The new candidates include Kumar Kunal from Madhuban, Brij Bhushan (Navin) from Supaul, and Anil Kumar from Gaya Town. This announcement comes as AAP prepares to contest the elections independently, without forming an alliance.
The Bihar Assembly elections will take place in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14. The last date for filing nominations for the second phase is October 20, which also marks the deadline for withdrawing nominations for the first phase, covering 121 constituencies.
Previously, AAP released its third list of 50 candidates on October 18, and its second list of 48 candidates on October 14. The first list included 11 candidates, featuring notable names such as Prem Prapt Singh from Chapra and Rajendra Prasad Singh from Lalganj.
In contrast, the opposition alliance, Mahagathbandhan, has faced challenges in finalizing a seat-sharing agreement, leading to confusion among its members. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has announced its decision to contest the elections independently. Meanwhile, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has already announced candidates for all 101 seats allocated to them and is actively campaigning in key areas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to begin his election campaign on October 24.
As the election date approaches, the political landscape in Bihar continues to evolve, with various parties making strategic moves to secure their positions in the assembly.
