Between the Michigan men’s and women’s cross country teams, six runners finished well within the top half of competition. Three men and three women led the Wolverines in the 8 and 6 kilometer races, respectively. But it takes more than three impressive races to round out a solid team finish. And while Michigan has the makings of success on the men’s and women’s teams, without five solid runners on both sides it will remain unable to make a run for national team success.
After a two week break from intense competition, the Wolverines traveled to Wisconsin to compete in the Nuttycombe Invitational.
