The Yuma Police Department issued a community notification regarding the residence of Robert Carl Pitcher, 62, a convicted sex offender now living at 560 S. Madison Ave., Unit 15, in Yuma.

Pitcher is described as a white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is classified as a Level 3 offender, indicating a high risk to reoffend.

Pitcher was arrested in June 1987 for public sexual indecency and three counts of child molestation involving a minor known to him. He later pleaded guilty on Sept. 18, 1987, in Yuma Superior Court to one count of attempted molestation of a child.

More recently, Pitcher was arrested on March 10, 2025, for failing to register as a sex offender, a requirement under Arizona law. He pleaded guilty to the charge on June 5
