TORONTO -- The Mariners were already in territory that this organization has never before navigated, being one win away from their first World Series. They’re still there, after a 6-2 loss to the Blue Jays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on Sunday night.
They will now play in their first Game 7 in franchise history, right back here at Rogers Centre on Monday night.
“I think it's a beautiful thing,” Julio Rodríguez said. “The baseball gods wanted us to be here, and I feel like everybody's really excited for tomorrow.”
