CANANDAIGUA, NY — The Canandaigua mayoral race pits incumbent Mayor Bob Palumbo, a Republican, against Councilmember Thomas Lyon, a Democrat.

Palumbo, who also is running on the CDGA Neighbors line, is in his sixth year of office. Lyon, who also is running on the Chosen Spot line, was appointed to City Council and then won election to at-large seat in 2021. The seat carries a four-year term.

Early voting begins Oct. 25; Election Day is Nov. 4.
