The New York Jets lost their seventh straight game to start the 2025 season on Sunday. The Jets squared off against the Carolina Panthers at home in East Rutherford, New Jersey and fell to the Panthers in an ugly 13 – 6 affair. The Jets had just 220 yards of total offense, and they allowed more sacks by the Panthers than the Panthers had racked up in all their previous games this season combined.

Despite the complete ineptitude of the Jets offense, the Jets defense kept the team in the game right up until the ignominious end. The Jets had the ball at their own 14 yard line with less than three minutes remaining in the game, with all their timeouts.
