The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the formation of a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal around October 21. However, the system is likely to spare Odisha from the brunt of the impact, as per the latest predictions from the weather department.
Despite the developing system, the IMD has clarified that Odisha is unlikely to experience significant impact. Residents may, however, witness isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over several districts during the week.
