WAUSAU – Residents saw the end of the Wausau Ethics Board investigation Oct. 15 and received the final decision and statement of facts regarding Mayor Doug Diny’s unilateral removal of the clerk’s office drop box in September 2024.

The Ethics Board found Diny violated Section 2.03.030(j) of the City of Wausau Municipal Code , or a section of the Code of Ethics, which states elected officials may not knowingly act beyond their legal authority or take actions forbidden by law.
