CHICAGO (WLS) -- Federal agents are in court Monday telling a judge about the immigration crackdown in Chicago.

U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis called representatives from both U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol to testify.

The hearing comes almost a week after two arrests on the Southeast Side, where large crowds gathered and tear gas was deployed.

Leadership from ICE and Border Patrol are answering questions over use of force and deployment of tear gas.

In a filing, the federal government identified Monday's witnesses as Customs and Border Protection Deputy Incident Cmdr. Kyle Harvick and ICE Deputy Field Office Director Shawn Byers.
