MACON, Ga. — Three men are dead after a shooting in East Macon late Saturday night that left at least 50 shell casings scattered across a residential street, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office identifies the victims as Quantayrias Townsend, 27, Brandon Thomas, 21, and Markell Bonner Jr., 16.

According to a press release, deputies responded to the 500 block of Williams Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call about a shooting victim. At 10:25 p.m., dispatchers received a report that a 27-year-old man had been shot and transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle. Medical staff later pronounced Townsend dead from his injuries.
