The Bengaluru police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Ola founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Bhavish Aggarwal and senior executive Subrath Kumar Das following the death of an employee who allegedly took his own life late last month, accusing company officials of workplace harassment. The deceased, K Aravind had been working as a homologation engineer with Ola Electric in Koramangala since 2022. Police say Mr Aravind allegedly consumed poison at his Bengaluru residence on 28 September 2025 and was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared dead. His brother, Ashwin Kannan, later lodged a complaint, based on which a first information report (FIR) was registered.
