HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) - The Hampton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) is assisting the Estill Police Department (EPD) to investigate a shooting that occurred late Sunday night.

According to HCSO, the shooting took place behind Fairwood Apartments in Estill. One individual was shot and has been transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

There is currently an active police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
