GUYTON, Ga. (WSAV) — The Effingham County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating a fatal crash that killed a cyclist Monday morning.
Officials said they responded to the incident on the 400 block of Honey Ridge Rd. around 8 a.m. on Monday.
A pickup truck reportedly struck 58-year-old Franklin Ross, who was on a three-wheeled pedal cycle.
Ross died from his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
According to the ECSO's investigation, the sun may have impaired the driver's vision, contributing to the crash.
