WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) -The federal government shutdown is nearing three weeks, affecting about 45,000 federal workers in Massachusetts, many of whom are working without pay.

The shutdown continues as the Senate funding bill has failed to pass for the tenth time, leaving many federal employees in Massachusetts uncertain about their financial future. President Trump has assured that active-duty military personnel will receive pay during the shutdown, but concerns remain about the impact on SNAP benefits.

"It just seems like they are too worried about fighting with each other...then the people," said Rick of West Springfield.
