Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while celebrating Diwali with the Indian Navy aboard the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant off the coasts of Goa and Karwar, highlighted a major national achievement: over 100 districts in India are now free from Maoist influence.

Addressing the naval personnel, PM Modi recalled that before 2014, around 125 districts were affected by Maoist violence. Through persistent efforts over the past decade, this number has dramatically reduced, with only 11 districts showing any influence and just three districts facing active areas of impact.
