HORRY COUNTY, S.C. —

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a woman with unlawful conduct toward a child.

Carlie Marie Swann of Conway, South Carolina, was charged on Oct. 16 after the Horry County Police Department requested SLED to investigate.

According to the arrest warrant, on Aug. 25, Swann placed an infant at an unreasonable risk of harm by consuming copious amounts of alcohol before co-sleeping with the child. A toxicological analysis of Swann's urine sample revealed a blood-alcohol level of 0.131%.

Swann was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County under a $40,000 bond.

The case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
