WILKES-BARRE — A Nanticoke man whose friend died from a gunshot wound while playing with firearms pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter on Monday.

Michael Crawn Jr., 19, of Minden Court, was charged by Nanticoke police and detectives with the Luzerne County district attorney’s office with shooting Hunter Sipple, 19, on Sept. 1, 2024, according to court records.

Sipple suffered a gunshot wound to his chest at Crawn’s residence and died hours later at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.
