The 48th Annual Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands is taking place on October 25.

The event is San Diego County's largest high school marching band tournament and is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the school's robust music program.

The event is a 13-hour day and features more than 35 bands from the Southern California region competing in three major categories.

They start the day with smaller bands field performance in the morning from about 8 a.m. to noon.

Next, they have the parade performance that is completely free to watch and they end with the large band field performance. That will culminate with Mt. Carmel performing to end the event.
