Lewis Edmondson has been ruled out of his fight with Ezra Taylor on the Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley bill.

The current British light-heavyweight champion has suffered an injury to his hip during final preparations for his appearance at London's O2 arena this weekend .

Edmondson was set to defend the Lonsdale belt and his Commonwealth title against Taylor, but the bout has now been cancelled.

It was a showdown that was set to act as a chief support for Parker vs Wardley this Saturday night.

Organisers frantically tried to find a replacement so that Taylor can remain on the card.

But Ring Magazine is now reporting that Steed Woodall will step in at short notice to take on Taylor.
