Danny Rohl has been appointed as the new manager of Rangers on a three-year deal. ‌

The German initially rejected the chance to succeed Russell Martin at Ibrox during talks last week. ‌

But after the Gers hierarchy's move for Kevin Muscat collapsed over the weekend , Rohl re-entered the fray. ‌

And now the ex Sheffield Wednesday boss has been appointed the club's 21st permanent - and youngest ever at just 36-years-old - manager.

Record Sport understands the Light Blues expect to appoint a coach with previous connections to the club.

Rohl's only senior management role was his spell in charge of the Owls where he spent two years before leaving the club at the start of this season by mutual consent due to off-field issues. ‌
