The Louisville Manor Motel has been approved to re-open under new management, a spokesperson for the Louisville Department of Codes and Regulations confirmed.
Martin said the motel passed its final inspection by Louisville Metro Public Wellness Oct. 16 and is now approved to operate at its original location along Dixie Highway.
The Shively motel closed in October 2024 after police documented more than 200 runs to the location since January 2024, including instances of drug overdose, prostitution and sexual assault. The motel was purchased by a new owner in 2025 and will remain under the same name, Codes and Regulations spokesperson Emily Martin said in an email to The Courier Journal.
