Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier on Monday announced that criminal subpoenas were issued to popular online gaming platform Roblox, which is frequented by children.

According to Uthmeier, the subpoenas will investigate whether Roblox's actions are aiding predators by allowing them access to harm children.

Roblox has faced lawsuits and allegations that their platform makes it easier for minors to be groomed, and victims have alleged that the company has failed to report incidents of child victimization.

Uthmeier said predators used in-game currency on the platform to bribe minors into sending them explicit content of themselves.

Earlier in May, a Florida teenager was charged as an adult after he allegedly convinced children to send him sexual abuse material through the game.
