New Delhi: Veteran actor Govardhan Asrani, known for his iconic roles, passed away on Monday, October 20, at around 3 pm at the age of 84. He was admitted to Aroyaga Nidhi Hospital as he was suffering from lung issues.
Asrani was admitted to the hospital for the past four days, and his last rites were held at Santacruz Crematorium in Mumbai. The tragic news was shared by his nephew Anand Asrani.
Govardhan Asrani’s early life
Asrani was born on January 1, 1941, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and completed his educational studies at Rajasthan College. He worked as a voice artist at All India Radio to match his education expenses.
